MPN Charity Auction

Columbia, MD - October 17, 2001:  Opening on November 1, 2001 the Military Pagan Network, Inc with the support of AuctionWitch.com will be holding an online charity auction to raise money specifically for the "Adopt a Pagan Soldier" program. According to John Machate, Coordinator and CEO of MPN, "I firmly believe in not asking the community for too much charity without giving anything back.  I feel this auction will allow MPN and our auction contributors to give back to the Pagan community while the community gives to us."

To acquire items for the auction MPN has been soliciting Pagan authors, artists and store owners for items such as autographed books, artwork, jewelry and alter items.  MPN has already received items and promises of items from authors such as Dorothy Morrison, Margot Adler, and Phyllis Curott and artists such as Nybor and Emmachia.  If you are a store owner, author or artist and would like to contribute to this auction please send your donation to Military Pagan Network, Inc, PO Box 1225, Columbia, MD 21044.  MPN will be sending tax receipts to contributors and listing them on the "Wall of Fame" on the MPN website.   All items donated are tax deductible for the fair market value of the item.

The auction will run for a total of twelve days in four, three-day auctions.   Each auction will have will be a mixture of books, artwork, alter tools and other items that may be of interest to Pagans and non-Pagans alike.  The final auction will be opened November 10th and closed on November 13th.

Founded in 1992, incorporated in 1997 the Military Pagan Network Inc. acted as a store and group information resource for Neopagans in the military. The corporation now provides material regarding various Neopagan religions to the Chaplaincy, as well as fulfilling its original goal of providing contacts near military bases around the world. In 1997 the corporation expanded its services to include assisting military members with the proper handling of harassment and discrimination. In 1999 the IRS awarded the Military Pagan Network, Inc. tax-exempt status in accordance with Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3.
